Civitan is a worldwide, all volunteer service organization, where men and women have an organized way of approaching local community problems with a special emphasis on helping those with developmental disabilities.
Two primary community service projects of the Frederick Challenger Civitan Club involve supporting the Frederick Challenger Little League Baseball (www.challengerfrederick.org) and the 4H Therapeutic Riding Academy (www.fc4htrp.org) at Silverado Stables in Lewistown, MD. We also participate in other civic activities throughout the year with projects involving the ARC of Frederick County and state highway cleanup project.
We welcome guests and invite the public to attend our monthly Club meetings which are held at Perkins Family Restaurant in Frederick at 6:30 pm, generally on the first Wednesday of each month. Watch our calendar for upcoming events and changes to our schedule.
